Crookwell is a small town in the NSW Southern Tablelands, in the Upper Lachlan Shire. It is about a half hour's drive north of Goulburn and has a population of around 2,000. At just under 1,000 metres altitude, the town avoids most of the oppressive heat of summer but can be cold in winter with occasional snowfalls. Crookwell is home to NSW's first wind farm.

Crookwell Golf Club is in the ACT-Monaro Golf District. Crookwell golf course is a picturesque 9 hole, 18 tee course with abundant trees, well groomed fairways, waterways and elevated greens. The course is a comfortable walk for the social golfer while being tough enough to be a challenge for the more serious golfer.

Crookwell Golf Club is well known for its hospitality and friendly atmosphere. In May 2011 the club ran a "Blue Ball Day", with local sponsors. It may become a regular event, according to this Crookwell Gazette article. The club is licensed and has a bistro, and may become the headquarters for the combined sports groups of the area (article here).
