Peterborough Caravan Park & Mini Golf
Peterborough is 253km north of Adelaide between Port Augusta and Broken Hill. The railway line arrived here in 1881. One of Peterborough's claims to fame is that it is one of only two places in the Southern Hemisphere where three railway gauges meet. More information at Come Travel Australia.
Peterborough Caravan Park has on-site vans & cabins, drive through sites, laundry, BBQs, Mini Golf, Lake & Islands and a Deer Enclosure. More information here.
Peterborough Mini Golf
The 18 hole mini golf course is in the grounds of the Peterborough Caravan Park. The golf course is set alongside Victoria Park, with its lake and island, kangaroo and deer enclosure and modern playground. Peterborough is only a 10 minute walk away and offers a link to its railway past at the Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre.
About 25 km from Peterborough is Magnetic Hill, where you can experience a rare phenomenon. "When you get to Magnetic Hill park alongside the sign (it even works from down near the creek), put your vehicle into neutral gear, and watch it roll uphill." More here.
