156 golf professionals and 156 amateur golfers will play in rotation over three courses on Monterey Peninsula: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club - Shore Course.
Spyglass Hill Golf Course is one of the toughest courses in the world, with a course rating of 75.5 and a slope rating of 144.
Pebble Beach Golf Links is renowned as an exceptionally beautiful and uniquely challenging golf course, clinging to fallaway cliffs high above the Pacific Ocean. The final round for the Pro Am will be on this course. Pebble Beach Golf Links will host the US Open in 2019, the Links' own centenary year.
Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Shore Course: The Shore Course is a gently rolling seaside course, winding through dunes and coastal grasslands.
Championship contenders include Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth, presently at No. 1, 2 and 3 respectively in world golf rankings. Spieth is this year's defending champion. Johnson has won the tournament twice.
Rory McIlroy, world No. 8 and Jason Day, No. 10 are here and Day shares his thoughts in the preview video above. For McIlroy, this is his first time as a competitor at the Pebble Beach Pro Am.
Four time Pebble Beach Pro Am winner Phil Mickelson is in, as is twice winner Brandt Snedeker. Recent Phoenix Open Champion Gary Woodland is playing, as well as Bubba Watson, Graeme McDowell, Ernie Els, and Aussie Adam Scott. These are just some of this year's dynamic line-up of legends and stars.
