Bairnsdale Golf Club

Bairnsdale golf and bowls club is a first class course with a rich array of trees lining the fairways, a striking impressive area of the Gippsland. While playing your game enjoy a wonderful offering of wildlife and birds.
The course is laid out like a carpet of couch grass which is first rate complete with challenging bunkers.

East Gippsland 's major industry is forestry and the rivers and basins are Mitchell, Tambo and Nicholson which drains into the main Gippsland lakes.
The area is a major tourist attraction with water sports and is known for its mild climate. It combines ski resorts in Dinner Plain and Mount Hotham.
In the summer months, bushwalking is also popular.

The club hosts many district tournaments and is honoured to hold the annual Bairnsdale Pro-Am with many other events throughout the year.

In January 2018 Rick Kulacz shot a new course record of 8 under par 63 to win the Big Garage Pro-Am by two shots from Aaron Townsend.
The only female professional golfer in the field Marianne Skarpnord played flawless golf, with four birdies no bogeys to shoot a new ladies course record of 4 -under par 67.

Bairnsdale is a city in the Mitchell river end of the East Gippsland with a population of around 14000, it is located on a bend of the Mitchell river which runs along the edge of the town.
The Great Dividing Range is Australia's most substantial mountain range and the third longest in the world, it stretches 3,500km.
