A self confessed golf nerd, who has been providing players of all skill levels with elite golf instruction ...
View ProfileI grew up in Kyabram in country Victoria where sport was expected to be played. I started playing golf with my grandparents (who were golf tragics) at the age of 8 at a very small club, Merrigum. My brother and I were the only juniors at the club for a long time and we were treated like everyone’s children or grandchildren. We played as often as we could.
When I started to think that I would like to play professional at the age of 16 my grandmother would break me out of school on a Wednesday to go play golf with her. We had the best time and my teenage years are some of the best memories of my golfing career with my grandparents. I fell in love with the game when I started to travel as part of the Victorian team at the age of 14. I was lucky enough to attend the Australian Institute of Sport for 3 years after finishing high school, and learnt a lot about the game and myself.
I went to Oklahoma State University for a year before realising i didn’t want to study but play golf professionally. I turned professional in 2004 after obtaining my Ladies European Tour card on my first attempt. I played the LET for 6 years before injury sent me into early retirement.
My passion for golf couldn’t be lost so i became a teaching professional in 2010. Since then I have been a club professional at Tocumwal, Wollongong, Horsham and Huntingdale. I have been privileged enough to travel the world playing golf and I really enjoy imparting what I have learned over the years to others.
I am the Teaching Professional at Wollongong Golf Club
