European Tour - Kenya Open:  18-21 March 2021

Justin Harding from South Africa has won the 2021 Kenya Open. His bogey-free final round score of 5-under-par 66 gave him a total of 21-under, 263, and a two shot victory over American Kurt Kitayama (19-under, 265).  Scotland's Connor Syme is 3rd on 17-under and Sebastian Garcia Rodriguez from Spain 4th, on 16-under. Harding's 21-under score is the lowest in the history of the Kenya Open, which was founded in 1967.

Australian Scott Hend has finished T16 with 12-under-par, 262.

Harding, who won the Qatar Masters in 2019, is now in 15th place for the Race to Dubai. In the Qatar final round Harding was pursued by an international posse of no fewer than nine runners up, from whom he escaped with his clear two stroke win. Qatar Masters 2019 Leaderboard

From the European Tour:

The South African entered the final day at Karen Country Club with a two shot lead and was never caught as he carded a bogey free 66 to finish at 21 under, two shots clear of playing partner Kurt Kitayama.

American Kitayama briefly cut Harding's advantage to one as he carded two eagles in a 66 of his own, but the leader kept his cool as he earned a sixth worldwide victory in three years...

Harding's maiden European Tour victory in Qatar just over two years ago was his fifth win in ten months, and a tie for second the following week in this event pushed him into the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking and earned him a debut in the Masters Tournament, where he finished in the top 15.  Full coverage here

From the Irish Golf Desk:

Justin Harding closed with a bogey-free, five-under 66 to claim his second European Tour title at the Magical Kenya Open presented by Johnnie Walker.

The South African (35) entered the final day with a two-shot advantage over the field and was composure personified throughout as he claimed a two-stroke victory at Karen Country Club.

After opening with five straight par, he made back-to-back birdies at the sixth and seventh, then drove the green at the par-four, 332-yard ninth and holed from 15 feet for eagle to lead by four shots at the turn.

He steadily maintained his lead all the way home and picked up one final birdie on the par-four 17th to secure his second European Tour title on 21 under total - the lowest winning total in the history of Kenya's national open.   Read more here
