Four at the top; Korda vs Ko for Player of the Year
The race to the 2021 finish line has begun, and 18 holes remain until a Race to the CME Globe is crowned. Rolex Rankings No. 1 Nelly Korda is joined by defending champion Jin Young Ko along with 2021 LPGA Tour winners Nasa Hataoka and Celine Boutier in a tie for first after the third round of the CME Group Tour Championship on -14.
Hataoka recorded the lowest score of the four, an 8-under 64, her second-lowest 18-hole score of the season. Ko recorded seven-straight birdies on Nos. 2-8, only to end her streak with a bogey on No. 9. The battle for the Rolex Player of the Year is going down to the final round of the LPGA Tour season.
So is $1.5 million to the winner after four players ended the third round of the CME Group Tour Championship tied for the lead at Tiburón Golf Club at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort on Saturday.
Nelly Korda and Jin Young Ko are part of that tie, and the only two who can win the Player of the Year title. Read more

The final day of the LPGA season is shaping up to be a thriller.
Four golfers ended Saturday tied for first place after three rounds of the CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The final 18 holes will determine whether someone from the first-place pack -- Nelly Korda, Jin Young Ko, Nasa Hataoka and Celine Boutier -- or someone else from further down the leaderboard will seize the title.
Boutier entered the day with a four-stroke lead, but she shot even-par 72 to allow others to close the gap. That included Hataoka, who fired an 8-under 64 for the best score of the third round. Read more
