Kooyonga Golf Club is located just 15 minutes from Adelaide's CBD. It was laid out in the early 1920s, hosting a country championship in August 1923, the same month the Australian Open was played at Royal Adelaide. It grew to 18 holes the following year.
Kooyonga has hosted five Australian Opens, 20 South Australian Opens and two Australian Amateurs (the second being held last week). Additional historical information about Kooyonga at the Top 100 Courses listing.
Last week Kooyonga hosted both the Men's and Women's Australian Amateur championships. Read more about that at the Australian Golf Digest.
