TGR Foundation turns 25: Tiger Woods wants to level the playing field in education, one child at a time

From Yahoo!Sports, by Steve DiMeglio, 17/11/21:

A year ago to the day on Monday was the last time we officially saw Tiger Woods in a professional tournament at the November Masters, but the 15-time major champion is celebrating a different anniversary this week.

In 1996 Woods and his father, Earl, started the TGR Foundation and for the last 25 years the foundation has strived to empower students to pursue their passions through education.

“I cannot believe this week we will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of @TGRFound,” Woods wrote on Twitter. “We have come a long way. I am so proud of our hard work and thankful for everyone who helped us get here.”

The story [at link] originally ran in USA TODAY on June 26, 2018 and has been repurposed for the 25-year anniversary.
