Victorian PGA Championship gets underway

The summer of golf tees off with the 2021 Vic PGA at Moonah Links from tomorrow. The championship will be played over 72-holes of stroke on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, across both the Legends and Open courses, from Thursday 9 December – Sunday 12 December.

This trophy carries the names of many of Australia’s leading PGA Professionals including Peter Thomson, Ossie Pickworth, Peter Senior, Stuart Appleby and Marc Leishman.

Four round tournament golf returns to Australia this week, with the Victorian PGA Championship set to take place across the Open and Legends courses of Moonah Links.  

Starting in 1922, the Vic PGA is now played in a pro-am format with a 36-hole cut reducing the amateur/professional teams to 24 before eight advance to Sunday’s final round.
