The Masters 2021 Round 2: Marc Leishman two shots from the lead

The Masters at Augusta National 2021 - Round Two

Marc Leishman is just two shots off the lead

From Fox Sports:

Australian Marc Leishman fired a blistering 67 at the Masters on Saturday (AEST) to sit two shots off leader Justin Rose as the second round drew to a close.

Leishman was one of the biggest movers of the day, opening with three-straight birdies and answering a bogey at the par-4 11th with birdies on 12, 13 and another at 15 to briefly seize the lead alone.

He hit pars at the final three holes to finish the day at five-under, tied with America’s Jordan Spieth who fired a four-under par round.

From The Age:

Marc Leishman has seen this all before. The names are different, so are the years, but the Australian has lived this experience twice already after he surged up the Masters leaderboard to sit two shots adrift of Justin Rose through two rounds at Augusta.

With runaway round-one leader Rose unable to keep the momentum that powered him to a seven-under 65 in the opening round, Leishman returned fire with a five-under 67 of his own to sit at five under for the tournament in a share of fourth with Jordan Spieth, with Rose (seven under) a shot clear of Americans Will Zalatoris and Brian Harman tied for second.  Read more here
