2018 BMW PGA Championship 24-27 May at Wentworth GC UK

The 2018 PGA Championship is about to get underway on the West course of Wentworth Golf Club on the SW edge of London. The annual event on the European Tour is in its 64th year. Defending champion is Alexander Noren.

Last year Noren was seven shots back from the lead on Sunday morning. His sustained intense drive brought him through to a round of 10-under 62. He won by two strokes against Italy's Francesco Molinari with a tournament tally of 11-under 277. In 2018 he is back to defend that win.

Noren will tee off on Thursday together with Rory McIlroy who won here in 2014 and England's Lee Westwood. Tommy Fleetwood will start early in the morning with Ian Poulter and Mark Wallace, followed by Padraig Harrington, Rafa Cabrera Bella and Ross Fisher. Two past champions who will tee off just after midday are Chris Wood (2016) and Byeong Hun An (2015), together with 2016 Masters winner Danny Willett.
