2018 LPGA Kingsmill Championship - Day One - Five at the Top

LPGA Kingsmill Championship 2018 - Five at the Top after first round

At the end of the first round of the LPGA Kingsmill Championship five players are tied at the top on 6-under-par 65. They are Jessica Korda, Annie Park and Jaye Marie Green, all from the US, Azahara Munoz from Spain and In Gee Chun from Korea. Korda, Park and Munoz are all past winners of this tournament.

Among the Aussies, Minjee Lee is just two strokes back from the lead on 4-under,  Karrie Webb is on 3-under and Su-Hyun Oh on 2-under. Lee had a bogey free round, with four birdies.

Rain fell through the afternoon of the first day of Championship and the River Course was soaked. This did not interrupt play however, and all persevered to see their rounds through.

Those who teed off early missed the rain for the most part. Of the lead players, Chun and Green played through the wet. The rain is expected to continue through the next two days.
