Lee Hodges secures a five shot lead, heading into the final round at the TPC

BLAINE, Minn. (AP) -- Chasing his first PGA TOUR victory, Lee Hodges shot a 5-under 66 on Saturday to stretch his lead to five strokes with a round left in the 3M Open.

Hodges had a 20-under 193 total at the TPC Twin Cities to break the tournament 54-hole mark of 195 set last year by Scott Piercy. Hodges led at 8 under after the first round and a record 15 under after the second.   Read more

BLAINE, Minn. — Lee Hodges is pulling a Brian Harman.

Last week, Harman led by five shots after 54 holes in his triumph at the British Open. This week, it’s a completely different set of circumstances, but Hodges’ lead is five with 18 holes to play.

The second-year Tour pro has played flawless golf and led after every round of the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities.  Read more

Aaron Baddeley is on course for his best PGA Tour result in years as he goes into the final round of the 3M Open in Minnesota in outright fourth position.

The 42-year-old Australian followed his opening rounds of 69 66 with a six-under 65 to get to 13 under at TPC Twin Cities on Saturday.

However he would probably need runaway leader Lee Hodges to falter significantly to add to his tally of four PGA Tour wins.  Read more

Lee Hodges is in solid position to win his first PGA title as he holds a five-shot lead after three rounds of the 3M Open at Blaine, Minn.

Hodges sits at 20-under 193 after recording a 5-under 66 in Saturday's third round at TPC Twin Cities. J.T. Poston is a distant second after also shooting 66.

Defending champion Tony Finau (67 on Saturday) is six shots back in third. Australia's Aaron Baddeley (65) is seven shots off the pace.  Read more
