Adam Scott, our reigning Australian PGA Champion, is enjoying his time at Kapalua. He's been surfing the waves in Hawaii as part of his own preparation for the competition.
In February Adam won the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera in California, securing his invitation to Kapalua and the Tournament of Champions. When Covid closures stopped the Tour in March Adam spent time at home in Queensland with his family. When the Tour re-started he followed all safety precautions but shortly before the Masters was scheduled to begin, he was diagnosed Covid positive. In the three majors since then he at least made the cut, but now hopes to "start moving in the right direction" again.
For the slopes of Kapalua Plantation Course he intends to use an arm-lock putter.
“It’s just kind of what I like on this type of green here this week and, quite grainy, quite slow, a lot of slope, and can be a lot of wind around as well and the long one, I feel like I’ve battled with a little bit out there in the past.”
“I feel like the work I’ve done recently is really good,” he said, “so, I’m eager to see it kind of get a result for me the next few weeks on Tour and start moving in the right direction before the big stuff in the spring.” Read more at GolfWeek USA Today
