It was a dominant performance from LPGA Tour winner Ally Ewing on Friday at the AIG Women's Open at Walton Heath Golf Club as the American blitzed the field with a 6-under 66 to hold just the second 36-hole lead/co-lead of her LPGA Tour career. The Mississippi native led the major championship by one shot on Thursday after carding a 4-under 68 in round one and extended her advantage to five in round two, making one bogey and seven birdies to tie her lowest round of the 2023 LPGA Tour season as well as her lowest round in the AIG Women's Open. Ally Ewing fired an opening round of 68 (-4) to lead by one stroke at the end of the first day of the AIG Women’s Open at Walton Heath.
On a sun-soaked Thursday, it was tight at the top of the leaderboard as the players got to grips with the testing course at the final major of the year.
It was three-time LPGA Tour winner Ewing who posted the round of the day making three bogeys, five birdies, and an eagle to be on four-under-par. Read more

The American golfer, Ally Ewing, is chasing her first LPGA major championship. Ewing has made the first two days of the AIG Women’s Ope at Walton Heath look easy.
She fired off a 66 on Friday to best her Thursday 68 to sit at 10-under and hold a five-shot lead over Andrea Lee and Minami Katsu entering the weekend.
