Day Three: Brooke Henderson leads into final round

Canadian Brooke Henderson maintained her lead following the third round of the Amundi Evian Championship on Saturday, although her three stroke lead was reduced to two following a big move from South Korean So Yeon Ryu.
A few missed birdie chances from close range cost Henderson the chance to take a big lead into the final round at Evian Resort Golf Club.
However, at 17-under-par, the 24-year-old from Ontario is still well placed to capture her second Major championship. Read more

Brooke Henderson continued her inspired play on Saturday, carding a 3-under 68 and maintaining her spot atop the leaderboard at the 2022 Amundi Evian Championship. Henderson, who is aiming for the second major title of her professional career, is at -17, two strokes clear of two-time major champion So Yeon Ryu and four strokes ahead of LPGA Tour rookie Sophia Schubert.
Henderson’s round of 68 included four birdies and a lone bogey on the opening hole. Despite the strong play, the Canadian superstar couldn’t help but reflect on some missed opportunities. Read more

It wasn’t the blistering-hot pace she set the first two days, but Brooke Henderson continued to hold top spot after Saturday’s round of the Amundi Evian Championship after a three-under 68. She now heads to Sunday’s final round with a two-shot lead and a great chance to win her second major championship...
Part-way through the final round, it looked as though Henderson was going to run away from the field, extending her lead to five shots after a birdie at the 14th. But she failed to take advantage of the par-5s at 15 and 18, making pars on both.
