Augusta National Women's Amateur 2021, 31st March - 3rd April
The inaugural ANWA was held during the first week of April 2019. American Jennifer Kupcho won the tournament by four strokes with 10-under par, 206. María Fassi from Mexico was runner up with 6-under, 210.
In 2020 the event was cancelled due to pandemic conditions. Now in 2021 the tournament will be held from 31st March. Rounds one and two will be held at the Champions Retreat Golf Club. The final round, on April 3rd, will be held at Augusta National Golf Club.
From Ryan Herrington for Golf Digest:
[Last month] Augusta National revealed a field of 85 golfers who had accepted invitations, up from 72 from the first playing. The larger field will accommodate 25 players who had qualified for the 2020 tournament but lost the opportunity to compete due to the event’s cancellation.
The tournament format will remain the same as in 2019, when Jennifer Kupcho defeated Maria Fassi by four strokes: The opening two rounds will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club on Wednesday and Thursday of the week prior to the Masters (March 31 and April 1). All competitors will then play a practice round at Augusta National on Friday (April 2), while the low 30 after 36 holes will compete in the final round at Augusta National on Saturday (April 3).
