Adam Scott leads a star-studded field by one stroke at the midway point of the BMW Championship, the second event of the FedEx Cup play-offs.
The Australian is on eight under after he followed his opening 65 with a 69.
Jordan Spieth birdied 17 to pull level with Scott but bogeyed the last for a 67 to sit on seven under. He is alongside fellow Americans Scottie Scheffler (67) and Cameron Young (68) as well as Canada's Corey Conners (67) at Wilmington in Delaware. Read more

Entering the postseason securely on the bubble, the Australian captured his third top-five finish of the season at the St. Jude Championship to extend his postseason and roll into the Philadelphia area playing with house money. Read more

Scott followed an opening-round 65 with a two-under 69 at Wilmington Country Club, lifting the former Masters champion to eight under and top of a congested leaderboard in Delaware.
The Australian birdied three of his opening six holes and added another at the par-five 12th, but missed a five-foot chance at the next and then reduced his cushion over the chasing pack with a double-bogey on his penultimate hole. Read more
