Brooke Henderson wins ShopRite Classic after playoff against Lindsey Weaver-Wright

Six years to the day since she earned her first major title at the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Brooke Henderson rallied from four shots back at the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer to earn her 11th LPGA Tour title. Henderson, who entered Sunday in a tie for ninth, recorded a bogey-free 64 to finish at -12 and ultimately win a playoff against American Lindsey Weaver-Wright. Read more

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Brooke Henderson closed with a 7-under 64 a year ago in the ShopRite LPGA Classic and finished second.
The 24-year-old Canadian matched the final-round performance in the event this year, and still had work to do. This time she got the job done Sunday after overcoming a four-shot deficit.
Henderson eagled the first playoff hole to beat Lindsey Weaver-Wright for her 11th tour victory and first this year. Read more

While Lindsey Weaver-Wright finished her round at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, Canada's Brooke Henderson got ready.
Henderson, from Smiths Falls, Ont., held a one-shot lead over the American, but with No. 18 a par-5, the Canadian knew that a playoff was a distinct possibility. Sure enough, Weaver-Wright birdied the hole and forced an extra hole of golf at the LPGA event. Read more

Brooke Henderson sank a short eagle putt on the first play-off hole on Sunday to win the ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey.
Henderson outdueled Lindsey Weaver-Wright in the play-off. Both players shot 12-under in regulation but Weaver-Wright made a par 5 on the play-off hole at 18. Read more
