Cameron Smith remains optimistic about his future at Augusta, despite the hard lessons of Amen Corner 

And, let's remember that Cameron has already written his own place into Augusta history records, as the first person ever to record four rounds in the 60s at the Masters. For a reminder, see Ben Everill's 2020 article here.

Even in despair Cameron Smith feels destined to win the Masters after recording his third top-five finish in four years at Augusta National.

Smith settled for equal third, behind triumphant world No.1 Scottie Scheffler and a roaring Rory McIlroy, after two cruel breaks dashed the Australian’s chances on Monday morning.

He must be wondering what might have been after closing with a luckless one-over-par 73 to fall five shots short of Scheffler at five under.  Read more

Australia's Cameron Smith spent the best part of four days putting himself in position to win The Masters, but it all fell apart with one horror shot in the final round at Augusta National.

The Queenslander came into the Masters as one of the form players after his win in the so-called "fifth major", the Players Championship last month.

Smith went into the final round three shots behind leader and eventual winner Scottie Scheffler, and he was still in contention with seven holes left before disaster struck.  Read more
