Celine Boutier Wins Amundi Evian, her first major, and becomes the first French winner of this Championship.

France's Celine Boutier is celebrating a memorable victory in her home major, the Amundi Evian Championship, after the challenge of Australia's former winner Minjee Lee never materialised.
The 29-year-old Boutier recorded a three-under-par 68 on Sunday to run away with an emotional victory in front of her home fans by six strokes at the French resort of Evian-les-Bains. Read more

Celine Boutier became the first home winner of the Evian Championship as the French woman’s triumph in the season’s fourth major raised Europe’s hopes yet further of an historic third successive victory over the Americans in September.
Boutier, 29, shot a final-round 69 at Evian-les-Bains – the course overlooking Lake Geneva – to complete a commanding six-shot victory over Canada’s Brooke Henderson. Read more

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France | French fans turned out in droves to support their countrywoman Celine Boutier as the Montrouge native captured her fourth career LPGA Tour title and first major victory on Sunday at The Amundi Evian Championship.
Boutier began the day with a three-shot lead over Nasa Hataoka and quickly extended it to four with birdies on the par-4 1st and par-3 2nd holes. The 29-year-old made back-to-back pars on holes three and four and grabbed another birdie on No. 5 to move to 14-under and sit five ahead of Hataoka. Read more
