European Tour, BMW PGA Championship, Wentworth Club, UK: 9-12 September
The British PGA Championship, as it was originally known, was founded in 1955 by the PGA. Under successive sponsors since then the tournament has retained 'PGA Championship' in its title. It is held at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, where the PGA European Tour is based. It is the European Tour's designated "Premier event" for Official World Golf Rankings. The winner is given exemption into the US Open and the next three Open Championships.
Defending Champion is Tyrrell Hatton who won in 2020 by four strokes over Victor Perez.
Australians in the field in 2021 are Wade Ormsby, Scott Hend, Min Woo Lee and Adam Scott.

The European Tour’s flagship event – the BMW PGA Championship – returns to its Wentworth Club headquarters, with a host of big names ready to tee up. Here (at the link) is all you need to know, including the Aussies teeing it up and TV times.
COURSE: The West Course at Wentworth Club was originally designed by Harry Colt and opened for play in 1926. The course was redesigned by Ernie Els at different stages over a 12-year period starting in 2005. Holes were lengthened and more than 30 bunkers were added to the layout. Read more
