THE PLAYERS Championship 2021 - "The Richest Tournament in Golf"
Earlier this year PGA officials increased the total prize-money for The PLAYERS Championship to US $15 million.
While champion Justin Thomas collected $2.7 million, payouts to others were not too shabby either.
Lee Westwood, coming in second, received $1,635,000
"You can finish 22nd or better and make more money in one tournament than Arnold Palmer make in his winningest single season on the PGA Tour ($162,896 in 1971)."
