MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Sloppy mud one day, broiling heat the next. Lucas Glover is playing his best golf no the matter the conditions on the ground or in the air, posting a 6-under 64 on Friday for a one-shot lead over Jordan Spieth in the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Glover holed three putts longer than 25 feet, one of them for eagle on the par-5 16th, and has made only one bogey through 36 holes going into the weekend of the PGA TOUR's Playoffs opener at TPC Southwind. Read more

After nearly missing the FedEx Cup playoffs altogether, Lucas Glover is making the most of his opportunity.
Glover’s bogey-free, 6-under-par 64 on Friday pushed him into the lead at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first leg of the three-week playoffs, in Memphis, Tenn.
Glover is 10-under 130 through two rounds, one shot better than first-round leader Jordan Spieth, who had a 68 Friday. Read more

Lucas Glover, the 2009 US Open champion, fired a six-under-par 64 to grab a one-stroke lead after Friday’s second round of the $30 million St. Jude Championship, the FedEx Cup playoff opener.
The 43-year-old American made four birdies and an eagle in a bogey-free round to stand on 10-under 130 after 36 holes at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.
Meanwhile, Australia’s Cameron Davis has slipped down to eighth after a three-under par 67 in the second, keeping himself in contention for the playoffs opener. Read more

American Lucas Glover carded a second round six under par 64 to lead at the St Jude Championship in the first leg of the FedEx Cup play-offs.
Glover, who qualified for the play-offs with victory in last week's Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club, finished on 10 under overall.

Rory McIlroy goes into the weekend's play at the FedEx St. Jude Championship just three shots off the lead after shooting a round of 66 in Memphis.
With just one bogey to mar his card, McIlroy is well placed for a weekend charge with a return to the the World No. 1 spot also in his sights.
A win in Memphis along with Scottie Scheffler finishing outside the top five would be enough for the McIlroy to return to the top spot in golf rankings. Read more
