Golf Challenge NSW Open 2022, Concord Golf Club, Sydney: 17-20 March 2022

Harrison Crowe, NSW Open Champion 2022

20 year old Harrison Crowe, from Sydney, is no stranger to winning. In 2019 he won the Asia Pacific Juniors Championship. In 2020 he won the Victorian Amateur Championship, then successfully defended his title in 2021. He is the 2022 winner of the Men’s Australian Master of Amateurs Championship and so is proud possessor of the Master of Amateurs “Green Jacket”.  In January 2022 Crowe won the NSW Amateur Championship.

His heart now turned to the possibility of winning an Open.  As he said in the video above, "That would be awesome. It would be unbelievable."  Well, we can believe it, as he not only won this year's NSW Open Championship, he did so with style.

From PGA of Australia, by Martin Blake:

St Michael’s young gun Harrison Crowe has won the Golf Challenge NSW Open at Concord by a shot, just the sixth amateur in tournament history to lift the Kel Nagle Cup.

The 20-year-old from Bexley in inner-western Sydney kept his nerve through a tense final round to shoot a four-under par 67 and hold on by the slimmest margin from Newcastle’s Blake Windred (64 today).

Jordan Zunic and Jarryd Felton were tied third at 16-under par.  Read more

From The West Australian, by AAP:

Young Sydney amateur Harrison Crowe has underlined his immense potential by holding off his professional challengers to win the $400,000 NSW Open golf championship.

Remarkably, 20-year-old Crowe had just one bogey blemish in his three rounds of a weather-reduced tournament and he won at 18-under 195 at Concord in Sydney on Sunday.  Read more
