At end of Round One of the 2018 Oates Vic Open, for the men, a Victorian and a Kiwi are tied, - both in first and in third places. David Bransdon and James Anstiss are tied at the top of the leaderboard, each at 8-under-par with a total of 64. Following at 7-under with total of 65 are Peter Wilson and Nick Voke. Tied for 5th place are Harry Bateman, Taylor Macdonald and David Micheluzzi.
Among the women, Beth Allen at 6-under 67 is just a stroke ahead of Cheyenne Woods.
