Jin Young Ko wins Portland Classic, Su Oh tied second with Jeongeun Lee

The last time Jin Young Ko played a competitive round, it was more than 100 degrees in Tokyo, Japan, with the sun blaring down on Kasumigaseki Golf Club during the Summer Olympics. After that competition, Ko took a much-needed break at home in Korea and while it was much cooler this week in Portland than it was in Tokyo, the steep hills that make up Oregon Golf Club certainly made Ko’s hard work with her coach well worth it. Earlier this year, Jin Young Ko lost the world No. 1 ranking to Nelly Korda. On Sunday, Ko played like a No. 1, never letting anyone get close to her in the final round of the Cambia Portland Classic.
She capped her victory in style by jarring a long, curling birdie putt on the 18th green.

Jin Young Ko secured her second victory in her last three LPGA Tour starts as she won the rain-shortened Cambia Portland Classic by four shots.
Ko finished at 11-under par, comfortably ahead of Jeongeun Lee and Su Oh, who both shot 69 on Sunday. Read more

Jin Young Ko won the rain-shortened Cambia Portland Classic on Sunday for her second victory in her last three LPGA Tour starts.
Making her first start since the Tokyo Olympics, the second-round South Korean player closed with a bogey-free 3-under 69 at Oregon Golf Club for a four-stroke victory over Jeongeun Lee and Su Oh. Ko finished at 11-under 205. Read more
