Two career-changing putts for Jon Rahm brought two trophies Sunday.
He cradled his 3-month-old son, Kepa, as he walked off the 18th green at Torrey Pines on Father's Day. And then he collected the silver U.S. Open trophy after a performance filled with passion and absent of blunders that wiped out everyone else.
Rahm made a bending 25-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole to catch Louis Oosthuizen. He buried another curling, left-to-right birdie putt from 18 feet on the final hole for a 4-under 67 and a one-shot victory. Read more

Jon Rahm finally got his win. Two weeks after getting forced out of The Memorial with a six-shot lead after three rounds because of COVID tracing, Rahm won the 121st U.S. Open Championship at Torrey Pines Golf Course.
Rahm finished the tournament at 6-under par, just ahead of Louis Oosthuizen, who now has six second-place finishes in his career. Read more

Jon Rahm pays tribute to Ballesteros after winning first major at Torrey Pines.
Jon Rahm lived up to his pre-tournament billing as US Open favourite with a closing round of 67 enough to see him claim his first major title. The Spanish player finished on six under, one clear of the 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen on minus five. Rahm dedicated the victory to Spanish icon Seve Ballesteros, who died 10 years ago having won three Opens and two Masters, but not the US Open.
