Tony Finau and Brandon Wu each closed with a 63, while Kurt Kitayama birdied the final hole from a back bunker for a 68. They tied for second. Read more

From the moment he landed in a west coast paradise of Mexico, Jon Rahm was followed by a glaring spotlight and carrying the heavy load of expectation heading into and then during the Mexico Open at Vidanta in Vallarta.

Starting the tournament as the favourite, Jon Rahm showed his class, with the World No. 2 leading from start to finish as he picked up his seventh PGA Tour title.
It had been a tight and tense affair over the final day, with multiple players getting close to the top of the leaderboard. However, Rahm kept swatting them away, with Tony Finau, Brandon Wu and Kurt Kitayama all finishing within just one shot of the 27-year-old as Rahm secured yet another title. Read more

Jon Rahm brought his A-game to Mexico this week.
The world No. 2 played “probably as solid a round as I’ve had all year” on Thursday and held his own on Sunday despite some late charges up the leaderboard to claim his seventh PGA Tour title at the 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta in Vallarta.
