Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen is feeling loose. After becoming a Rolex First-Time winner on March 13th after her playoff victory at the Honda LPGA Thailand, the 27-year-old remains in form at the JTBC Classic presented by Barbasol. Koerstz Madsen backed up her first-round 66 with a 5-under 67 on Friday, carding seven birdies and two bogeys on the day. Players often say that getting that first win really helps them relax and trust their ability inside the ropes and for Koerstz Madsen, it’s obvious that the sentiment rings true. Read more

Nanna Koerstz Madsen is the leader after 36 holes. It was less than two weeks ago that she became the first LPGA golfer from Denmark to win on the tour, doing so at the Honda LPGA Thailand.
Koerstz Madsen, whose fiancé Nicki Hansen caddies for her, has posted scores of 66-67 and is at 11 under, two shots ahead of Hye-Jin Choi and Lydia Ko.
Jin Young Ko is tied for fourth with Na Rin An and Maude-Aimee Leblanc at 8 under. Pajaree Anannarukan is in seventh place at 7 under. Read more

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Denmark's Nanna Koerstz Madsen, a winner two weeks ago in Thailand, fired a five-under 67 to seize a two-stroke lead after Friday's (March 25) second round of the LPGA JTBC Classic.
Madsen became the first Danish player to capture an LPGA crown when she eagled the second play-off hole to beat China's Lin Xiyu for the Honda LPGA Thailand title on March 13.
The 27-year-old from Copenhagen birdied four of the first five holes and birdied three of the first four on the back nine to offset bogeys at the par-five eighth and 17th holes at Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, California. Read more
