CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) — The way LPGA scoring leader Minjee Lee has been playing, winning was only a matter of time.
The title came in the Cognizant Founders Cup on Sunday after a final round in which the Australian wasn't playing her best.
Lee made her only three birdies on the back nine and held off Lexi Thompson by two shots to win her seventh career title. Read more

LPGA scoring leader Minjee Lee has made three birdies on the back nine to capture the Founders Cup by two shots and take her first triumph of the year.
The 25-year-old West Australian had been one-over-par through 11 holes before birdies at 12, 14 and 18 at Upper Montclair Country Club took her to victory. Read more

After a season of knocking on the door, Perth golfer Minjee Lee finally broke through for her first LPGA Tour victory of the year with a two-shot win at the Founders Cup in New Jersey.
But getting to the trophy presentation was, in Lee’s own words, “a fight” after a frustrating final-round that saw the 54-hole leader scratching at 1-over for the day by the 11th hole. Read more

Australia's Minjee Lee finally found the birdies when she needed them to win the LPGA Founders Cup by two strokes over Lexi Thompson in New Jersey on Sunday.
Lee, who took a one-shot lead into the final round, was frustrated early as putt after putt failed to drop. But she birdied three holes on the back nine on the way to a two-underßpar 70 and a 19-under par total of 269 at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton. Read more
