Nasa Hataoka wins NW Arkansas; Minjee Lee tied second

After a final-round 67, Nasa Hataoka earned her second title of the season at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G on Sunday. Off in the morning with 36-hole co-leader Minjee Lee and Eun-Hee Ji, Hataoka hung on for her fifth-career LPGA Tour victory and second win in Rogers, Ark., after becoming a Rolex First-Time Winner in 2018 at Pinnacle Country Club. Nasa Hataoka, a 22-year-old from Japan, shot a final-round 4-under 67 to finish at 16-under.
She three-putted the par-5 18th hole after reaching the green in two, having to make a 3-footer for par after rolling her first putt 15 feet past the hole.
Lee, one shot back in the same group, ripped a long drive down the centre, but went with a 5-iron from 196 yards that finished well short of the elevated green. Read more

After a pair of aces in two days, Nasa Hataoka couldn’t have made it look easier to start the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
It didn’t end that way though, as a shaky three-putt par on the last gave Hataoka the one-stroke cushion needed to collect her fifth career title. The powerfully petite Japanese player finished at 16-under 197 for the week...
Minjee Lee put a solid stroke on a final birdie attempt that slid by the hole to finish tied with Eun-Hee Ji at 15 under. Read more

She has three top-5 finishes in her last four starts, including the maiden major title of her career at the Amundi Evian Championship.
