Portland Classic 2023

The Aussie contingent of LPGA Touring golfers presently in North America are this week travelling south from Vancouver for about 800 km and arriving in Portland, Oregon. Here they will play in the Portland Classic. These Aussies are Hannah Green, Stephanie Kyriacou, Grace Kim, Su Oh, Sarah Kemp and Karis Davidson. Hannah won this competition in 2019 (having won the Women's PGA Championship two months earlier) and was T3 here last year.

It’s been a long summer, but the LPGA Tour is finally entering the home stretch. This week’s Portland Classic will serve as the penultimate event in a stretch of 10 consecutive events that covered six countries and two major championships. Though the nonstop grind may be tapering off, the excitement certainly will not as the Tour makes its way to the Pacific Northwest with some of the best in the world in tow, including world No. 1 and two-time major champion Lilia Vu.  Read more

PORTLAND, Ore. — Most of the world's top-ranked women's golfers will be in Portland this week for the LPGA Portland Classic, which runs Thursday through Sunday at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

The Portland Classic is the longest running non-major championship on the LPGA Tour. It got its start back in 1972, with JoAnne Carner as the inaugural champion.

This year, the field features eight of the 10 world-ranked women's golfers...

Five past Portland Classic champions are in the field, including Andrea Lee (2022), Georgia Hall (2020), Hannah Green (2019), Marina Alex (2018), Stacy Lewis (2017) and Brooke Henderson (2015 and 2016).   Read more

The LPGA Tour reaches Oregon for the Portland Classic. 

Last year, Andrea Lee won her maiden LPGA Tour title after beating Daniela Darquea by one shot, and she returns hoping for a repeat performance...

If Lee is to retain the title, though, she will have to overcome the challenges of many of the world's best players, including Lilia Vu, who recently moved to the top of the world rankings following her second Major win of the year in the AIG Women's Open.  Read more
