Nino Bertasio followed up his stunning opening 61 with a 69 to take a two shot lead into the weekend at the 2021 Portugal Masters.

The Italian had fired his lowest European Tour round on day one and while he could not keep up that incredible scoring in round two, he was a picture of consistency as he moved to 12 under at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course. Read more

Italy’s Nino Bertasio remained the man to catch in the Portugal Masters, but saw his lead cut in half on day two in Vilamoura.

Bertasio was four shots clear of the field after a stunning opening 61 and added a 69 on Friday to post a halfway total of 12 under par at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course.

However, on a day of low scoring, former Ryder Cup star Thomas Pieters and France’s Matthieu Pavon both shot 64 to reach 10 under alongside Lucas Bjerregaard and Adri Arnaus, who shot 65 and 67, respectively. Read more
