Joaquin Niemann and Tom Lewis topped the jam-packed leaderboard heading into the weekend in the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Niemann and Lewis each shot 3-under 69 on Friday to reach 10-under 134 and remain bogey free heading into the weekend at Detroit Golf Club...
First-round leader Davis Thompson was one of eight players two strokes back...
Willie Mack III, a Michigan native who grew up in nearby Flint, made his first cut on the PGA TOUR. Read more

Willie Mack III long has been used to cashing three- and four-figure paychecks. He's going to make at least five figures this week, making the cut for the first time on the PGA Tour.
Mack, a Flint native who has been grinding mostly on mini-tours since leaving college more than a decade ago, is 3 under through two rounds. He made the cut right on the number.
Last place at the Rocket Mortgage Classic will take home more than $10,000, no small thing for Mack, who has been open this year about his struggles while pursuing his dream — he has slept in his car, and has borrowed $10 or $20 at a time from his dad just to he could eat McDonald's. Read more

As in their cards, through two rounds of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, are spotless. No bogeys through 36 holes have the 22-year-old Chilean and the 30-year-old Englishman at the top of the leaderboard and feeling pretty good about it. Read more
