Rory McIlroy Triumphs at Bay Hill!

Arnold Palmer Invitational 2018 - Rory McIlroy makes "One of the greatest finishes we've seen here at Bay Hill"

Rory McIlroy's last win was at the Tour Championship on 25th September 2016. On that day Arnold Palmer passed away. Now, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational McIlroy has won again. Right after his meeting with the media McIlroy invited everyone to join him in a toast to Palmer.

McIlroy said,  “I was just fortunate to spend some time with him [Palmer] here at Bay Hill and my wife and he share a same birthday, September 10, and he was always so nice to me and to be able to win here at Bay Hill and in his tournament means the world to me.

"...He set a great example to all us players to try and follow in his footsteps and if everyone on Tour could handle themselves the way Arnie did, the game of golf would be in a better place".

McIlroy hit eight birdies overall to make his final round total 64. He won by three shots with 18-under par. De Chambeau, Rose and Stenson followed with 15-, 14- and 13-under respectively. Tiger Woods and Ryan Moore are tied 5th with 10-under.
