Sarah Kemp shines in Ayrshire, Day Two

After opening with a 3-under 69 on Thursday in the first round of the FREED GROUP Women's Scottish Open presented by Trust Golf, Australian Sarah Kemp carded another round in the 60s on day two at Dundonald Links, firing a 4-under 68 to sit at 7-under overall. The 37-year-old had an up-and-down front nine, making two bogeys and three birdies to turn in 35, but settled down on the back nine, going bogey-free and recording three consecutive birdies on holes 12, 13 and 14 en route to her second-round 68. Sarah Kemp has maintained her excellent form at the Scottish Open, but the experienced Australian will still go into the weekend having to play catch-up behind Japan's halfway leader Hinako Shibuno.
Kemp followed up her opening round of 69 with a four-under 68 at Dundonald Links on Friday to move to seven under for the tournament as she briefly shared the clubhouse lead at seven under with the sport's latest major winner, Evian champion Celine Boutier, after the morning wave. Read more

An impressive back nine from Sarah Kemp has ensured the Australian remains in the mix after the opening round of the FREED Group Women's Scottish Open in Ayrshire.
Kemp made four birdies on the way home to finish with a three-under 69 that left her five behind leader Hinako Shibuno at Dundonald Links. Read more
