Scotland's Ewen Ferguson claimed his maiden DP World Tour title after producing a fine finish in tough conditions to win the 2022 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters by a single shot.
Ferguson went into Sunday's final round three shots adrift of overnight co-leaders Adrian Meronk and Matthew Jordan but as the duo slipped backwards on the inward nine, the European Challenge Tour graduate was able to take full advantage, firing an eagle and a birdie in his last three holes to lift the trophy. Scotland's Ewen Ferguson carded a two-under-par 70 in the final round to win the Qatar Masters and claim his maiden title on the World Tour.
Ferguson, 25, began the final round three shots off leaders Matthew Jordan and Adrian Meronk.
A double bogey on the second dented his challenge but he played the final three holes in three under - including an eagle on the 16th - to secure the win. Read more

Conditions at Doha Golf Club on Sunday were less than favourable, with 30-35mph winds hammering the players at the Qatar Masters. However, for Scotland's Ewen Ferguson, it proved to have no effect, with the 25-year-old producing a birdie and an eagle over his last three holes to secure his maiden DP World Tour title.
After the first nine holes on the final day, it looked as if Matthew Jordan was going to cruise to the title, with the young Englishman constructing a controlled level-par front nine to sit two shots clear. Read more

The 25-year-old from Glasgow closed with a two-under 70 in Doha to finish one shot clear of American Chase Hanna and claim his first win in his rookie season on the former European Tour.
Ferguson is the third Scot to win the title, following Andrew Coltart in 1998 and two-time champion Paul Lawrie (1999 and 2012).
His win comes on only his 37th DP World Tour start and just his sixth as a full card-holder. Read more
