19 year old amateur among four players tied for the lead at the Scandinavian Open

Italian amateur Carolina Melgrati produced a spectacular opening round of 65 (-7) on the first day of the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed to be in a four-way share of the lead.
The Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed is a co-sanctioned event between the LET and DP World Tour and it sees 78 men and 78 women playing for the same prize fund of US $2 million and one trophy with Henrik Stenson and Annika Sörenstam as hosts.
The 19-year-old, who finished T4 at last week’s Ladies Italian Open, started her day brightly with two birdies on her opening two holes at Halmstad Golf Club. Read more

Amateur Carolina Melgrati said her dream was coming true after she fired an opening 65 to sit in a four-way tie for the lead alongside three male professionals on day one of the 2022 Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed.
The Italian opened her round with back-to-back birdies before dropping her first shot of the day at the eighth.
But a back nine of 30, which contained an eagle and four birdies, saw Melgrati join Craig Howie, Matthieu Pavon and Santiago Tarrio at the summit on seven under par. Read more

Teenager Carolina Melgrati made four birdies and an eagle on the back nine to shoot a seven-under 65 and join three men in a tie for the lead at the Scandinavian Mixed event on the DP World and Ladies European Tours.
The 19-year-old Italian joins Frenchman Matthieu Pavon, Scot Craig Howie and Santiago Tarrio from Spain on top of the leaderboard after Thursday's opening round at Halmstad Golf Club. Read more
