Day Two: Daniel Brown now has a six shot lead

Daniel Brown carded the lowest round of his DP World Tour career on Thursday and he stormed ahead with an equally impressive 66 at Galgorm in round two. He achieved his first PGA TOUR top ten last time out at the Barbasol Championship and he certainly maintained that momentum in Northern Ireland. The 28-year-old mixed four birdies with three bogeys on his front nine, but a stunning run of three birdies in four holes from the second - he lipped out another chance at the fourth - saw him lead by six shots from Spain's Angel Hidalgo and fellow Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick. England's Daniel Brown opened up a commanding six-shot lead at the halfway stage of the men's ISPS Handa World Invitational in Northern Ireland as Tom McKibben produced a remarkable round to make the cut.
Brown added a second round of 66 to his opening 64 to reach 11 under par in an event sanctioned by the DP World Tour, LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, which sees male and female players compete at the same time.
Compatriot Alex Fitzpatrick and Spain's Angel Hidalgo were Brown's nearest challengers. Read more

Daniel Brown produced another brilliant round to blitz the field and storm into a six-shot lead at the IHANDA World Invitational.
The 28-year-old carded the lowest round of his DP World Tour career with a 64 in the first round at Castlerock to lead by two shots at the event that is co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour where full fields of men and women play across two courses over the four days. Read more
