Darren has been involved in the game of golf for over 25 years, becoming a member of the PGA in 1996. Since that time he has worked in a variety of different roles within the golf. In 2002, Darren commenced his role as Head Golf Professional at Moruya Golf Club situated on the South Coast of NSW. Ten years later in 2012 Darren and his family moved to Cairns, Qld where he was contracted as Head Professional at Cairns Golf Club. Darren has 14 years experience managing very successful golf retail businesses and developed a strong following of loyal customers and students.

Darren’s passion and dedication to the game of golf has led him to create and implement Junior Golf Programs during both appointments in Moruya Golf Club and Cairns Golf Club. The Cairns Golf Club Junior Program has resulted in the largest Junior Golf Program in the Far North Queensland region and was honourably recognised as a finalist in The Queensland Golf Industry Awards in 2014 and 2015 for Junior Program of the Year.

As a golf professional for most of his life, Darren certainly has the experience and industry knowledge to continue to successfully promote the game of golf in Far North Queensland by joining Australia’s Biggest Golf Retailer – Drummond Golf.
