Belmont Golf Club

Belmont was established in 1952 and over time has grown to meet and challenge the abilities of golfers of all levels, practise facilities are available as well as buggy hire.
There are two professionals who can give help and advice to improve your game, club repairs are also available.
The club offers a licensed bar, function facilities and all amenities for corporate days.

Belmont is only two hours north of Sydney and is located in the Hunter region of NSW, just twelve miles from Newcastle's central business district on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie. It is situated on a sandy peninsula formed by the Tasman sea on the east and Lake Macquarie.

Belmont is host to one of Australia's acclaimed amateur golf tournaments, it is rated one of the best seaside links courses in the country.
With tree-lined front nine with small trees and bushes, it has an open back nine with impressive ocean views with golf along the sand dunes. it boasts difficult water hazards and a small lake that hugs the left-hand side of par -5 9th.

Home to the Lake Macquarie amateur championships, it brings in the best of Australia's amateur golfers and various overseas players as well.
Previous winners include; Nick Dougherty ( Eng), Russell Clayton ( Eng), Stephen Leaney (Aus), Brett Romford (Aus), Jack Newton (Aus), Geoff Ogilvy (Aus), Adam Gee (Eng).
Belmont is home to Nick Flannagan - winner of the US amateur championship in 2003.

Established in the early 1800's it has a population of around 7000 people.
It has many shops, restaurants and other amenities.
