Gailes Golf Club
Founded in 1924, Gailes Golf Club is located in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane.
As one of only three Queensland Clubs to have hosted the Australian Open, the club offers a range of benefits to suit all Golfers’ needs. Gailes Golf Club boasts one of the largest driving range practice facilities in the Brisbane region.
The range is now able to be used from both ends, doubling it’s capacity and measuring out at approximately 300 metres. Practice balls are available at the Pro Shop for a modest charge. Range balls only are permitted on Saturday competition days.
In addition, the range has a dedicated practice green complete with sand bunkers, for those wishing to tone up their short game skills. It is planned to substantially increase the size of this green in the near future.
The range is located a short walk from the Clubhouse between the 5th and 9th fairways.
The course at Gailes is attractive and long, with interesting bunkers and minimal water. It has excellent drainage and is arguably the best wet weather course in Brisbane.
