Kyneton Golf Club

The Kyneton golf course is situated only one hour from the Melbourne CBD and a game of golf here will be both a challenging and pleasurable experience for all standard of golfers.The club was founded in 1900, moved to its current site in 1950 and engaged renowned course architect Vern Morcom to design the current layout. Mr Morcom was also involved in the design of courses such as Royal Melbourne (West), Kingston Heath, Yarra Yarra, Victoria, Spring Valley, Barwon Heads, Flinders and many more.The club has undergone a program of couching the fairways in the last few years and now boasts 14 couched fairways with the remainder to be completed over the next year or so. The course is undulating with trees lining all the fairways on the par 70 highly regarded layout of 5832 metres. Both membership fees and green fees are very reasonable when compared to golf clubs of a similar standard. Many tourists to the Kyneton region include a game of golf in their program.
