Australian Hannah Green more than survived the nearly 30-mph winds that buffeted Oahu’s Hoakalei Country Club on Wednesday. She thrived. The major champion from Perth carded eight birdies and two bogeys in the first round of the 2022 LOTTE Championship and leads the field at -6. From the Lotte website: Defending champion Lydia Ko will be part of the field of 144 players competing for a $2 million purse, with $300,000 awarded to the winner. In last year's LOTTE Championship played at Kapolei Golf Club, Ko set a tournament record with a score of 28-under 260 and secured a dominant seven-stroke victory over Sei Young Kim, Nelly Korda, Leona Maguire and Inbee Park.
